Cherry Tree High Comedy Club!
Haha okay I tried Guacamelee! and it's totally not my kinda game and will probably be left forever unfinished on my Steam collection.
Guacamelee!
So this indie action platforming game is obviously based alot on the mexican culture which is seen in both the graphics (background of the cities, main character/enemies style) and dialogue.
While I indeed find the art and dialogue charming and funny, the action platform game style is something I don't enjoy unfortunately (not saying it's bad, not at all, just not my thing).
There are also obviously many memes integrated in the conversations making it that much funnier for us web veterans.
I recorded a little of the gameplay so for those of you who don't know the game but are interested in it, this is what it's like.
Rating:
Objectively:
The game is definitely fun and very creative in design. Everyone who enjoys this type of games is definitely gonna enjoy Guacamelee! and should play it.
8/10
Subjectively:
While I see how great the game is in many ways, it's just not my kind of thing. I enjoyed the art and dialogue but I didn't like the gameplay.

So I just finished playing the Cherry Tree High Comedy Club after three hours and I must say that I honestly enjoyed it.
Cherry Tree High Comedy Club
So this game is basically a short dating sim but instead of trying to get a boyfriend, you run around with the game's eccentric bed haired redhead named Miley Verisse trying to get club members.
The story is based around making comedy club, because Miley wants to be a standup comedian and make people laugh. However to get the club started five people in total are needed. Miley and her roommate are two so in the month and half before 1st of May you need to get at least three people interested.
There are total of six characters that you can invite to club and socialize with them. You need to get to level 5 in relationship with them before they sign up.
In order to socialize with them, you first need to know some topics to talk about, which can be achieved by such activities like watching TV, reading magazine etc.

Each day is three parts long, like in Persona games. When you spend time with someone or do an activity, the time will move one part.
The game is pretty drama free and is just really something to play without any thinking. It's not exactly the most polished game there is but it has cute anime-y graphics and good amount of humor. It also doesn't try to sell itself as something bigger, it's simple, short and it's good at what it does.
In the end I managed to get three members in time and finished the game. Though the game offers a New Game+ mode where you already start with your conquered members and so you can just aim to convince the others. Apparently when you get all 6, you get true ending. Even though I enjoyed the game, I won't be going for second playthrough. At least not yet. I actually may one day return to it and finish the game.
Here's a little gameplay right at the end of the game. Ending is recorded too so if you actually want to play the game, beware of spoilers!
Rating:
Objectively:
This game isn't really something mainstream and isn't trying to look bigger than it is. There aren't that many things to do so the game outside of second playthrough to get the rest of members offers low replayability.
On the plus side, the graphics, while simple are charmig, character designs are cute. The humor in this game is decent to keep you in good mood through the game, but it's nothing special.
5/10
Subjectively:
As I said the game isn't anything extra but for the short small game it isn't really all that bad. I enjoyed myself and I appreciate the game.

Okay so far it's tie between Half-Life and Deadpool for tomorrow. Any other votes? :x
If this ends up a tie, I will choose one with RNG.
