I'm more of an X masher with Final Fantasy than anything else, so Haste is right up my alley. And really, it's useful no matter what kind of style of play you have.
Haste, you just can't beat the advantages of Haste in turn style combat. You could beat anything in FFX without getting touched with Haste, Slow, and Delay Buster :p
A close second would be Aura in FFVIII. Limit break spaaaaaam! It'd be first on my list if FFVIII didn't give you a kazillion other ways to make the party unbeatable gods.
haste/berserk all and let the fight win itself (SPOILER)if you're lucky
Haste makes waste... of you enemies. :smug:
VIII: Aura
VII: Fury (especially because it would stick)
Everything that has it: Haste
Gonna buck the trend here and say double marches
Does doublecast count? How about blink? Both are my favorites for they are so great if done right.
Well Haste obviously, but Astra is incredibly hilarious when someone casts Doom on you and then it fails :shobon:
Haste, hands-down. It's always useful. You can heal and kill faster. You also cast Haste on others faster.
I really liked how in FFXIII (I have not played the later titles) casting Haste on Lightning as she wields that one sword that makes her action bars fill faster as she deals damage (or was it an item?), and using Army of One lets her attack almost nonstop.
Second favorite has to be that one status enhancement that makes other status enhancements last longer. I think it's astra. It just basically lets your guys use haste for a longer amount of time.
