I never got it and I never planned to get it.
I had 8 of them :P
I got it last play through, Still got another few steam achievements before its at 100% :P
I dislike the wording of the options. I was in high-school when I played FF7. Getting Knights Of The Round was a better use of my time than pretty much all of the alternatives at that age!
I did it the long way once with all the racing and training chocobos...generally I do it in a condensed way where I get the required chocobos and play roulette with soft resets until I get the desired bird.
Yes, but only with cheat codes. Though I did get it with a gold chocobo at least once (but I got said chocobo via cheat codes, as you get the Desert Rose via codes as well). I've never gotten it legit.
I remember the first time I got it - I used it in pretty much every battle, long before it was even needed because I sucked so bad at FFVII back then.
Yes. In fact, not only did I get it; I mastered it eight times. That is, legit, without a cheating device.
I was so insane and gullible as a teenager that I found some FFVII fansite with an elaborate "Revive Aeris" rumor when I was 13 and using the internet for the first time, and my 13 year old brain said "I SAW IT ON THE INTERNET, IT MUST BE TRUE!". One of the requirements of the rumor was to master KotR eight times then equip them all on Cloud's Ultima Weapon.
When I got to the point where you're supposed to fight the "Holy WEAPON" well, needless to say I was disappointed.

I do it every time. I spend far too much time on the game when I play it. Level 50 by the end of disc 1 XD

In fact I only watched the summon sequence for it on YouTube about 3 weeks ago.

Wait. I assumed that this was the only way to do this. Are there actually people who accept the birth of crap birds and just move on in the game? Are there people who exploit the W-Item glitch to obtain multiple Carob seeds just so that they can breed multiple birds until they get the one they need without having to reset? Sounds like a huge f-ing waste of time considering you have to wait for the "parents" to "recover".Quote:

It's a lot easier to get Knights of the Round than it is to defeat Emerald and Ruby Weapon, I imagine it isn't that uncommon to get them. I've done all three of course.
I suppose it all comes down to how much you enjoy chocobo racing. If you like doing that, some might see the Gold chocobo as just another part of that.
