Ah, okay. I understood "these" as Dream Drop Distance, 0.2 Birth by Sleep and χ Back Cover, hence my confusion ;)
Still, yeaH, it'd be awesome if they released a bundle of all the HD remixes for the PS4 before KHIII comes out.

2.8 + 0.2 = 3.0
My guess is that's what the numbers mean and this is definitely the last KH release before KH3.
I love me some BBS and Aqua is a strong character but I wasn't too thrilled with 3D and that extra episode probably isn't worth the purchahse.
3D was awesome :colbert:
I'm thrilled. I always wanted to play 3D but couldn't bring myself to buy a 3DS.
The only bad thing about this is that it's pretty much confirmation that the earliest KH3 will come out is 2017.
Yeah, well, with FFXV coming out in 2016, did we really expect an earlier date? 2017 isn't too far off either ;)
Haha, good effort keeping things complicated.
I am mixed between cool feelings and why are you doing this.
I've only ever played the first two games and even then I don't remember completing either of them. If I do decide to give this series another shot then I'd want to play in chronological order. Where does Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance sit in regards to the chronological order of this franchise?
BBS is the earliest, unless you count χ which isn't out yet, DDD is the last.
But honestly? Just like with the Narnia books, it's the easiest to understand if you play them in the order they released rather than using the in-game chronology. A prequel is a prequel for a reason - even though it takes place in the past, it should be played after because it relies on your knowledge of the previous entries.
So, the ideal order to play the games is thus:
KHI > Chain of Memories > KHII > 358/2 Days/Birth by Sleep/Re: coded* > Dream Drop Distance > Unchained χ** > Birth by Sleep 0.2**
*these three were developed and released about the same time, so you can play them in any order and still understand what's going on, though I'd recommend going with the order I listed
**not yet released in the West; the former is coming out as a mobile title soon, while the latter is part of this here HD remaster (which also includes scenes from χ, or some scenes about how χ connects to the rest, not really sure yet)
Yeah, is agree that it really wouldn't be good to play chronologically on a pretty much first play through of the series. It's a lot of fun to do on a future play through though.
Yeah just get 1.5 and 2.5 (and then 2.8 when it's out) just play them in order they are in on the discs lol and you should be good!
It's decided then! I'll play it in the order that Fynn suggested.
All I need now is to set my PS3 up again and buy 1.5 and 2.5 but I don't have a TV in my bedroom at the moment ;_;
I'm looking forward to a chronological play through if and when they get their ps4 release, but I agree that for a first time you should definitely play them in release order. Man, I want to go back and relive my first play through of KH1 and 2 again T_T
Meh, worst of the mainline Kingdom Hearts games. Couldn't be doing with the constant switching between characters. Terrible idea!
Speak for yourself. I loved that!
