I don't have to wait due to I never ask to receive gifts for Christmas. Though I do have to wait due to funds available for me to spend on myself.
I'm not waiting until Christmas, but I'm choosing to wait until at least a few days after release. I want to read some informed reviews from reliable sources that I trust, before deciding whether I'm actually getting this one.
I very much like what I've seen so far, but I also have very little faith in Square-Enix as a creative force. There's a chance that the game might end up being some kind of barely-playable, character-less, incomplete clustersmurf. I'm not willing to take a gamble on it at this stage, so I'll just wait and see.
I have to wait till payday. It's the worst.

Yeah it'll be a while for me, there's just other games I want more.
I'll end up playing it when everyone else is totally done with it, as is what usually happens :p
Someone at work just had a PS4 with the game delivered here. And as I'm the person sitting closest to the door, I had to pick it up.
For a brief moment, I was so close. I almost touched the game. I just... Life is unfair :G

I intentionally waited for Christmas.
My spoiler free thoughts after getting past Chapter 1: I like it. I can see why some dislike it, but I am having fun with it so far and enjoying the open feel of the game.
