Lyndis from Fire Emblem. Earnest and kind yet strong when she needs to be, and never irritating. Lyn has always been one of my favorite female protagonists.

Kain Highwind. He went through a lot, but he still retained his compassion and goodness, and he sought to improve himself through it all. I always thought that was very admirable and courageous.
