UGLY. Yes.
I actually find quick reply useful, but that's just because my cable goes really slow.
If it were to be included, it'd have to bea lot smaller than that one there for aesthetic values. I happen to like the one on FFO and FFR...
This is pretty much what it results in, BooB.
EDIT: I hate Quick Reply. :aimwink:
I hate you, BOU.
:aimsad:
You edited your post but YOU LEFT THE INCORRECT SPELLING OF MY NAME. *irritating yahoo smilie cry thing*

This could actually make things better for the 56kers. Think about it: A couple of more lines HTML-code on the page-view-page, or to have to load the Reply-page thingie?
What would happen if we were to copy the quick reply code to our sig?:D
Unfortunately, it'd only work for a single thread, I think. Maybe I could start posting that box in every reply I make, tho'. Hm.
And I agree wholeheartedly with Nait.
As a part-time 56ker, I must say that I still think it's annoying. Yup.
I'm not sure if it's available for vbulletin, but the quick reply for wbb2 has an option in the user-cp to disable it if you wish.
It's not going to cause huge aesthetic problems either. It's only a small box at the bottom of the page - you don't even have to look at it unless you're going to use it!
*agrees with Nait*
I never really understood the need for a quick reply box. I mean, sure they can speed things up, but whenever I use one I am compelled to make a much shorter post for whatever reason...
That and the fact that you can't preview your post. (A godsend if you're using compicated tables... ugh)
However, I wouldn't be opposed to the addition of the boxes if I could turn them off.
(Perhaps a javascript pop-up?)
I'm on 56k, and it is much faster to load one page and be able to post from it, then load up the thread, and the post page, and then post... it takes too long.
