SHAH-la is the way I've always pronounced it, and I think I like it better than Sara. Then again, I think there have been far better name changes, such as Sabin.

Shah-lah, yeah.
I'm one of those people who tends to like Woolsey's non-censorship changes...
except naming a BROADSWORD "masamune."
And as for Magus - that's easy, because it's a real word. Hard G.
ya....
I checked for its pronounciation, and apperantly its maGus...
but its still confusing considering it comes from the word magic
and magic is said MaJic....
*tries that out*Quote:

FZU: Magil....MaJil...MaGil....Maggle......*chokes*
Maggle? why would that choke you? I guess it doesn't make any sense to me.
For some reason i didnt choke when i tried it out.....
i was kidding, ok? it just sounds ridiculous.
MaGil sounds like "Maggle". that's why i was making fun of it, m'kay?
Ohh, I see where you're going... hehe, silly me.
ya....
silly you!!
(kiddin)
Oh, I don't mind, I am kinda silly at times... Hm, Magil does sound kinda like maggle, it you roll it around a few times in the back of your throat.
I alwyas pronoucned it like "Shah-lah"
I always pronounced it "Ska-lah" but then again, I pronounce Sephiroth as "Seprith" for no real reason! :p can't trust my judgement on things like that! lol
Knowing the "ch" in spanish helps, although the name isn't in spanish. I dunno. I guess it's just the sound.
I emphasize on the 'ch' so it sounds something like "Cha-la" but if I were to investigate using some English, it should be "Ska-la" with the 'sch' from the word 'school'. Cha-la sounds right to me tho...
