Underline and bold seem a bit off.
Those thick black borders have been fixed, in IE and Firebird anyways, using a dirty hack. But it's better than nothing. *avoids a rant at VB and their God-forsaken table-based layouts*

currently can't change custom titles or custom avatars.
There is a minimum size limit on posts, which I disapprove of.
Also, VB3 is inherently uglier than the old version.
When you click on the link in a "reply to post" email, it takes you to the most recent post in that thread - not the next post after your last one. This is a bit of a pain if there've been umpteen replies since your post... it was a little better the way it used to be, in my opinion.
This whole layout blows.
Since when is the name of the thread starter under the name of the thread? Didn't it have it's own table before?
Why bother switching over in the first place? What advantages does it have?
The post number links on every post look stupid.
Post Icons at the bottom of the posting box = retarded. Shouldn't it be next to the title or near it seeing as how that is where the smily will be.
All those quick VB things like /right and stuff piss me off. Just make a VB tags FAQ and don't put it in the FAQs section(that thing is really pathetic to begin with).
Since when does the post before when you reply also show the date and time of when it was posted?
Where are all the icons for stuff at the bottom of each poster?
What is up with this fagtastic red dot telling everyone I am invisible? Thats like running around telling people to look away because you don't want to be seen.
Is the real intention of switching over to a system with this many problems to piss people off into leaving the board?
I myself think it's pretty good except for some error which keeps popping up asking me if I would like to keep running scripts on this page. Other than that, it's fine
:joker:
Yeah, it did before. We'll see how things go in the long run before we change that. It's obvious that anyone who's been using vB2 for a while won't like vB3 because it's unfamiliar to them. If it still sucks in a long time, we'll think about what needs changing.Quote:

I like it. Maybe the number could be smaller, but it's nice to have a link that gives you one post only. It's something I always liked in IPB that vB didn't have.Quote:

Yeah, we're working on that one. Of all the templates, I can tell you now that the reply page is freaking awful to figure out. vB3 is very, very, very customisable, but only if you know how to do it.Quote:

/right? I don't get it. If you mean the quick links, I like that stuff and I know a lot of other people do, too, so I guess it's just a matter of opinion. If you don't like it, it shouldn't mean much, since nobody is forcing you to click on them.Quote:

What? Are you complaining about the fact that it shows the post time of previous posts in the reply page? Oh, come on. That's freaking helpful, ed. *thwack* Nothing to complain about at all.
Click on someone's name. Most of them are now there. This halves the load time of a thread.Quote:

See, Staff see that in vB2, actually. We can see when you're online, invisible or not. Now you can see yourself, too. Can anyone else see you? No. So don't worry. :) I don't like the vB3 images either, and we're still working on that stuff.
Problems? It doesn't have any problems that I've seen. Just things that aren't yet finished. You obviously don't know how many advantages vB3 has to vB2. =PQuote:

I'm considering working on a seperate style that will basically replicate the vB2 style, although it will probably take months to complete. Still, keep in mind that if you give vB3 enough time to get used to it, you'll see huge advantages. There are so many extras - including many things that people have requested in feedback before but were denied (hi sig preview).
There were also a few security holes that vB2 had which are now completely gone, which is great.
EDIT: Meat Puppet, what browser are you using and which pages do you get this error?
EDIT: eest, that will get fixed asap.
eestlinc: fixed
This is going to- OMG! Look at this reply to thread page!!! *tears away from it* errr... yeah as I was saying.... This is going to take me a while for me to get used to.
Thank you for answering most all of my petty complaints BoB. Its not that I can't get use to the way things look as much as I hate companies who feel the need to completley change a layout that was fine before. Why not just add the new functionality? Ya know? All it does is piss off 79% of the people who were using the last version.
I like the little box(to an extent on) that lets me log in whenever on any page but it annoys me that it stays and says when I last visited. Showing you that you have new PMs is nice but I thought that was what the pop up box was for.
I just don't like the VB tags like {size} and all of that. I didn't like those buttons before and I don't like them now. It just seems like there are more of them.
I like how it gives a reason for deletion(why is it even there. 99% of the time you delete a post is so that no one knows you posted in the first place). The reason for editing seems kind of pointless also. It is usually because of typos or you just need to finish your thought which you thought you had already finished.
I know mods and stuff can see me invisible(which irks me) but why do I need to know I am invisible? I am the one that choose that option. I know I am invisible *thwacks vB3*
Do we still have the Quick Reply option? I can't seem to be able to find it to enable it.
Okay...so I just deleted a message and I filled out the box that said something like 'reason for deleting'. Does that reason and post go into some sort of special staff thread to view deleted content?
Do they go away entirely if you select the simple editor view in the User CP Options area? I think they do.
Most of the new stuff couldn't be added beforehand without hacking the board about ten times more than Aaron's hacked Fool's Gold. That should give you a rough idea of how much is new. :p Here's a few examples:
- Folders for your PM's.
- Mods can now do a crapload more than they could before, such as editing sigs, IP matching and the like.
- You can now search user defined fields (meaning that once we add the option, you'll be able to search by journal etc)
- Soon enough, clout should fix the board up so that you can select quick reply without changing the style of the board.
- You'll also have the options to move the avatar, location etc. to the top of the post instead of to the left, although I doubt too many oldbies will use that (we're waiting on clout for that too).
- clout will also add the option of having smilies disabled by default.
- Logging in on any page.
- Sig preview.
- You can add polls to existing threads instead of having to make a new one.
- Multiple attachments.
- Subscriptions without emails - and before you think "Wow that's dumb" like I once did, it's nifty as all it does is create a "forum" in your user CP that shows all the threads you've posted in.
- You can allow people to see who voted for what in your polls.
- Extremely lightweight-browsing - see the "archive" link at the bottom right of any page.
- A highly improved PM box, showing used/available space, paged view, download options of text, CSV and XML...
There's a lot more than that, but a lot of it is for admins so it won't mean much to you, or else it's something that we aren't using (eg, reputations and the like).
EDIT: And this is what happens when you delete a message... see attachment.
EDIT AGAIN: And you don't actually have to put a reason for editing, you know. =P Some people often edit some typo in their post and add in "EDIT: Typo" - I guess this means they can put that elsewhere? Oh well. And as for you seeing yourself as invisible, yeah, I'm used to that, it's not exactly a big deal. :p We'll get rid of the bit circle, though. I'll do that now. I hate that bit dotty thing. Uuuugly.
MULTIPLE ATTATCHMENTS!!!!! That's pretty sweet!But how are you suppose to quote people without the quote button?><;;
So how are you liking the fact that Knights can now edit signatures by themselves, without going to an admin? xD
EoFF belongs in vB3. And of course, you *know* if you need any help with the transition...make BoB an admin. He knows more about vB3 than any of us.
