the game has a week storyline if you dont do sidequests preferably all sinse almost all of the side quests are a part of the storyline, square just made them side quests to make it posible to get the sad ending thats what i think. its like saying realy play the ff games realy get involved or they will suck
Yup. In traditional FFs, if you don't spend the time to explore then you won't level up - and so you will get 0wned by the end boss.
In this one, I'm sure even if you met it in the first chapter it'd still be a pushover :p So it opens the possibility, if you so desire, of ripping through the storyline and seeing a 'sad' ending.
I am pretty sure that everyone had second thoughts about buying this game and some people thought it was a good line up and some thought it was bad but maybe it was or wasnt meant to be an FFX sequeal I think it was to add somethin new to the FF collection i gave it a good rating and dnt think it is a sequeal I think it is continuing from where FFX left off :confused:
it is definitly a sequel imho, in that it has a completly different feel to ffX. the main qualm i had with it was that it was so removed from ffX. bah i dont care it was still a fun game.

I have removed ffx from my sig because after you play through a game 3 times you can't say it sucked, even though it had REALY REALY REALY bad voice acting. I don't think the writers and actors were on the same page.
Then in X-2 they take my favorite charicters (Auron Lulu) and give them no/minor parts (of coarse they cant use auron because he has no boobs and think of how he would look in a bikini)

Now in case anyone was wondering yes I own X-2 and no I'm not too happy with it and only finished it so i could say it sucks without someone saying "Well if you didn't finish playing it then you can't say Charl... erm.. i mean ffx-2 sucked"
Having finally played it I'll agree that it isn't as bad as I thought, but it hasn't struck any chords in me, so to speak. Admittedly I'm not too far into the game but I haven't found too much that appeals to me. Also, running through the same places again doesn't seem all that glamorous to me, nor does the fact that Yuna is so weak compared to what I have her at in FFX. Ah well. I'll probably finish the game eventually, but it's not doing much to hold my interest.
Haha, this is what I'm talking about. FFX-2 is like the rebel of the FF series. The music is the same. The music takes itself in a different direction, it isn't as 'sweeping' or 'deep' as other FF's, but it's damn fun and catchy. How can you NOT hum Rikku's theme after hearing it? Plus, both vocal tracks are the best ones I've ever heard in any game...period. I even like the English ones more than the Japanese ones! OMG! BURN ME AT THE STAKE! Haha. But really, this game isn't meant to be taken as a 'true' FF, it's more like FF-side story. But yea, I can see why people would think that it's totally ruined because it doesn't stick to the 'trueness' of FF, but yea, I kinda like it BECAUSE it crapped all over all that is FF.Quote:

Taking it from the perspective of these youngsters, you can blame them a little, but not too much. The youth of Spira were taught all about Yevon and whatnot from a young age, and now that it's been shown that Yevon was perhaps the biggest lie in Spira's history, they probably feel angry at their elders for leading them on, and angry at their ancestors for practically bringing civilization's advancement to a halt for 1,000 years.Quote:
