Month of the Newbie?

I joined in january. i was tired of always coming up as a lurker--I wanted to be recognized!

but yeah, i agree the reason people join in summer months is because they have nothing else to do. These forums have helped me keep at least some of my sanity.

And I don't recall this ever being a big deal in the past...but come to think of it, for me, rushes of newbies always seem to be more noticeable during summer. Dunno.

Oh yes. I joined because it was your birthday. I thought "Ya know, Jess's birthday is today, who is a person I don't know, but I figure I might as well join a forum that she won't join for another 18 months." That's exactly how it worked.
