Names

I name Cloud Guess. Other than that, it's variable.

last time I played, I named them all after my friends by matching their personalities.

The first time I play through, I just leave them as the default names. But when I played the game over again, Red was either "Tigger" or "Red IXXVIV" and Cait Sith was "Uglything" and...something else. :mog: Then I named Aeris Aerith, for some reason. I don't particularly like it or hate it. ANd, of course, Barret will, and always be "Mr.T."

cant remember rest. after that though i always name them there proper names. i dont like 2 insult them... :tongue:

I always seem to go with the same names, over and over again.....but oh, well.

Cloud = Spike
Barret = Butch
Tifa = Rachel
Aeris = Athena
Red XIII = Red
Yuffie = Ashley
Cait Sith = Gizmo
Vincent = Vincent
Cid = Cid

-Vincent and Cid are my favorites, so I dont rename them. If I did, something would just....not seem right...dont quite know what though. I just dont feel right renaming them.-

Changing the names really takes away the atmosphere of the game but anyways I named:

Yuffie-Buffy/Luffie/Duffie/Muffie/Fuffie/Suffie/Juffie/Puffie
Vincent-Vinciente/Enrique/Pablo/Chewey
Cid-I always wanted to call him TargetForLungDisease but that's too long so I chose...Cid every single time

No it doesn't. They're like nicknames. I still refer to Jolts as Cloud when I'm planning what to do are telling people about the game.

Cid - People used to call him 'Captain' so I call him Captain

default, I cant stand different names, and I agree that it takes away part of the game. :D

Barret must always be Mr. T. Always. That's my only rule.

uhh... well, i always kept the default names, but i think i renamed my characters once

cloud = cumulus (i don't know)
aerith = danny (after my friend, so i could get back at him for naming the frog in chrono trigger after me)
tifa = (don't remember... i think it was "the slut" or something)
barret = mr. t (well, DUH)
red xiii = charmander (i think it was charmandr in the game, since i couldn't fit every letter... and what? he reminds me of that charmander pokemon. i watched that show many years ago, and i can only remember the names of like two pokemon)
cait sith = fluffy
yuffie = (don't remember)
vincent = viiincent (my friend refers to him as viiiiiiiiincent, which always cracks me up)
cid = blondie (well, there's a bunch of different cids, so i refer to him as blondie, or the blonde one)
