Yeah, and I must admit... if I were raised in girls-only schools I would probably, you know... swing that way. On occasion. More than I have already. ;)Quote:

If it wasn't for co-ed schools, I wouldn't have found a love interest...so yeah...go co-eds.
I don't agree that co-eds promote bad behavior because the guys always want to impress the girls. There's grafitti in the bathroom walls at my school. Did the kids who wrote it do it to impress girls...in a male bathroom?
If kids behave better at single sex private schools, then its because they're private, not because they're single sex.
75% of my school day is checkin out girls heh, i dont think i could live single sex schools.
Is this for me? (Gee, paranoid much?) What I said was that co-eds promote good behavior because nobody wants to be embarrassed in front of the opposite sex. There are fewer fights, though, but that's about it.Quote:

I think it's important for the sexes to learn to co-exist. If anything the co-ed schools do not create bad behaviour rather, they prevent it. I go to a Co-ed school myself, but the boy's school that is fairly close to where I live has the worst reputation for bullying, vandalisation, and general bad behaviour in the area. So the statistics would seem to suggest that single-sex schools are the worst idea ever and need to be abolished immediatly. As for my own views, I agree they're a stupid idea. Not least because it reduces any interaction with the oposite sex that I have meaning I would never have met my best friend Sophie. This is obviously bad. Personally I can't see any up-sides to single -sex schools.
Same for me.Quote:

I really don't see where either are bad.
I go to a single sex school (all girls) and I've turned out fine..get this, a guy looked at me the other day, I was all like 'OMG...hes like......male...'.
Nah, believe me, it has never been an obsticle with the whoel boy girl thing. There is plenty of oppertunity to meet and greet the males outside of school hours. And as for the whole 'Sue had sex with Greg' thing, it happens still.
Yeah it is more bitchy, but you stick a thousand menstural women into a building and you are bound to get bitching.
I think its a far more relaxed enviroment as no-one is trying to impress the opposite sex. In my area the single sex schools do better academically than the co-ed, which is good cos I can laugh at everyone else.
Chaos
So then what is the point of having single sex schools if they don't have an advantage over coed schools?Quote:
