If Bush weren't running and Nader didn't strike me as a frothing lunatic, I might actually vote for a third party candidate. As it stands though, Kerry has the best chance of ousting the monkey.

I think the Anti-Bush People are missing the point. The point is, I have an equal Hatred for Kerry as i do for bush, so the rationality of "just vote the guy who ISN"T Bush" Because with my preferences, i would just be voting an an equal evil. not the lesser. equal. And I'm not throwing a vote out, i'm using my vote as a form of protest against the two party system which provides us with nearly equivalent candidates. Seriously, they sqaubble over stuff that doesn't even matter. Taxes? thats what we get? and Bush and Kerry's Military records? wtf. Really, am i the only one who wants to hear about actual issues and platforms instead of bitching?
You know what i've ehard in the last few months? Bush goes to war. counter: But it was justified. counter: well he dodged his reserve service. counter: honorable discharge. counter: Well Kerry was a War Hero with Purple Hearts. counter: Who Campaigned against the war when he got out. counter: well it was a bad war, we shouldn't ahve been there. counter: then WHY ARE YOU PROMOTING HIS INVLOVEMENT?! (insert third party) We swift boat vets don't like Kerry, the liar. (kerry's camp) see, look, now you hired out these easily prodded old men to slander kerry. apologize. (bush's camp) fine, All third partys stop slandering stuff, this stuff is wrong and dirty. (kerry's camp) That wasn't GOOD enough (bush's camp) yes it was, it was so good enough.
And fromt here on it goes into unintelligable bickering and whining (as if it wasn't before) What about Social Security? trimming the Gov Spending fat? (Like the $300 and some thousand dollar (a month) apartment rented for a senator, who has never been inside and lives a few hundred miles away) Why do we argue over taxes when if we allocated $40,000 or so a year for some lacky to check the gov books we'd be golden.
My point is, after my rant against the idiot campaigns and the idiot bush haters (It seems to be so trendy right now to look at kerry only as an Anti-Bush, not a person you would be giving the golden seat of power for four years.) that i need only one supporter to lend a face to my grassroots campaign. if all you want to do is tell my i'm wrong, do it in another topic. I freely give my support to a "SocietyzAntidote is a moron who's dumb topic" if you feel so inclined. but if someone WANTS to help out and agrees with my rational that one evil is as great as another, please reply, you one sane sane person.
i would rather have Kerry in the USA over an insane rabid war-mongering idiotic potential nuclear war starting monkey anyday...
but as i said, i,m UK so cant do crap.
and no i,m not a Bush basher cause its trendy. i,m one of the most un trendy ppl your ever talk 2.
Um...
Barbie is already running for president. A lot of people are afrid that she'll steal a ton of would-be republican votes the same way Nader (Is he running this time around) may be stealing some Kerry votes. (Even though I hear that he won't be getting many votes at all if he runs for the reason that Nik0tine has stated).
But anyway, barbie is already the "I don't give a damn" vote. There were lots of options in the 60s. Mickey Mouse, Mighty Mouse...A lot of mice.
I take exception to the phrase "Idiot Bush-Hater". I believe John Kerry will be a better president than George Bush, even if I feel he won't be a great president in his own right.
If you actually know your issues i got no problem if your decision is to vote in Michael Jackson. the term "idiot Bush-hater" doens't apply to you in that case. Those to of which i speak are the ones who decide to hate Bush because Leanardo DiCaprio, or Ashton Kutcher, or the members of rancid gave a slang filled "bush sucks" on the red carpet. I'm all for democracy, totally. My point is this.

Well in any normal election this would be fine, but we have to focus on getting rid of George Bush, even if it means we end up with John Kerry. The stakes are just to high in this election to be messing around.
Those have been the anti-bush qoutes thus far. none of them say "I Want Kerry to be my president, because i believe him to be the leader capable of running my government the way i would like to see it run. he is the best person to do this job PERIOD. (not the best of two, the best RUNNING) I've been travelling about the board and i'm finding so little (nearly none in fact) on actual agendas and points it's making me sick. Can we say something, ANYTHING other than bush sucks, and Kerry is the only one that COULD get elected over bush. please remember a third party IS possible with support, but everyone seems quite ready to settle. The progressives back in the day, they got people elected, they had a say in things. the thing is people are too polar to come up with a third alternative.Quote:
Go Ralph Nader!!! YYYYYYYYEAAAAAAAAH! Why settle for John Kerry? Just because he has the title 'Democrat'? that! Its all about Nader!
THIS IS THE ESSENCE OF MY POINT! you are not trying to vote a leader in, you are trying to vote a leader OUT. This is sad. Best of two isn't good enough, especially when you ahve these two.
but that reminds me of the UK voting systerm. many ppl hate Labour and would prefer liberal democrat. but they vote labour anyway to make sure the conservatives do not get in. voting liberal would be a great risk.
of course if they all united they could vote liberal, but i doubt it will ever happen.

Plus you must be pretty stupid to vote for the lib dems a party that has a different policy to the one two miles up the road because it gets them votes.
I don't like either cantidate either, but you know what? I'm voting for Kerry anyway. If Bush weren't president, I wouldn't vote, but theres just too much at stake. As many people as possible need to vote for Kerry...not because hes a "good cantidate", but so we get that dumbass retard who I could whoop in a spelling bee out of office. I don't even want to think about where we'll end up if we have him in office for 4 more years...*shudders*.
did u read my post? i said SOME. what is it with ppl who read what they want 2 see and then try say my political opinions are stuiped? geez the sadness of SOME ppl...Quote:
