Conclusion: Yahoo! is far more up to date than Google is and tends to put more relevant sites nearer to the top, while Google goes by how large the site is (some of the highest results were mere mentionings of the word on massive sites). Google and Yahoo! both completely missed some results the other engines were able to get - Yahoo! doesn't have Eyes on Final Fantasy (nor EoffFF, although that's a dead site now so it's actually good that they don't have it). Google didn't have the more recent pages such as Del Murder's and Baloki's, confirming that Google is not that up to date. Yahoo! had more results overall (80 or so) while Google's results were often foreign sites regardless of me asking for English sites only.
Summary: This is why I search for sites using Yahoo! - although I still search for images using Google, at least for now. I've also noticed that Yahoo! spiders are around EoFF, Aiyon and the like a hell of a lot more often than Google spiders are. MSN is also really active lately, although I won't try their search engine because I don't like MSN and Yahoo! has never really failed me.
