I really liked Quistis. She made a much better team leader than Squall, given that she was actually trained for it. Also, she is very mature, unlike, say, Rinoa.

I really enjoyed watching Laguana be stupid, but I have to go with Squall.
I do give props to Fujin though. She reminds me of when Dave Chapelle paradies Lil' Jon. One word answers with a bit of violence, and then at the very end she makes a long heartfelt diatribe. Good stuff.
I would have to say...ZELL!!!! ^^ I luv him so much. yeah, maybe he's loud but that's one of the reasons that makes me luv him.
Whenever I take a quiz, it's always either him or Selphie. I like her as well. Props for the Selphie fans.
BTW: He has an awsome tatoo.
I can't pick. I can't decide at all.
It's not like earlier FFs, where you have a truck load of half-baked characters, or the weird "gimmick" character that gets old and annoying, or is needlessly silly. All the characters in VIII are well developed. Even the characters like Seifer, sneering and bullying, make great villians, the kind you can even feel sorry for.
Even though everyone seems to hate him... Zell.

And Seifer. Only because I think he's more of a dreamer than Squall.

they're all good characters (in a characteristic view)
and Selphie, Squall, and Rinoa are my favorite for for battles :D

My favourite character has 2 b squall i mean hes da quiet warrior type but has a sense of feel in him plus his weapon an style jus kicks ass i mean wot more could u ask for in a character! ! ! hes da best character ever i think ! ! !
Probobly Squall, just because he's a really cool Character, and has a lot of development to his Character...
I also like Irvine however, he's funny and also has quite some depth to his Character.
But over-all, Squall wins.
