Im not sure what it is but there is a certain feeling about sega games that I really like. It might be the surreal environments or bleepy noises from collecting an icon or using the menus but it give me a (possibly nostalgic) feeling that no other company has been able to touch.
The old sonic games were okay. I didn't like sonic adventure 2 due to lack of sonic and FAST PACED PLATFORMING!!!! Sonic Team is a shell of their former self and really isn't worth it any more.
If they really wanted to make a good next gen sonic game they would make it 2.5D like NiGHTS or pandemonium.
Or they could make a NiGHTS 2 but I have a feeling they would http://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gifhttp://forums.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/rpg_009.gif it up.
2.5D is the way to go for sonic. Although I did like Sonic adventure 1...They just needed a better camera system and more levels with more speed.
If none of y'all remember, Sega's the driving force behind two of the most recognizable RPG series that aren't Final Fantasy.
Shining Force and Phantasy Star.
And the most underrated
