Japania is the rumored "leader of light warriors" and looks suspicously like the fighter job class which in FF1 is uber broken.

Even though Banon can heal himself free of MP, the Kalm traveler has all that mastered materia, so he'd win easily.
General Leo vs. Beatrix
A tie, probably. They have such powerful abilities that it would have to be a draw.
Gilgamesh (FF5) vs. Gilgamesh (FF8)
An oddball here!
FFV Gilgamesh simply because He was tougher to beat IMO. Both are difficult adversaries but I feel 5 would edge out 8

Faris because she (in my game) could take out anyone in a few hits. Reina (thats her name in th PS version) was decent but She's no Faris.
Mog (FF6) or Montblanc (FFTA)?
Montblanc could get way more abilities in the end. I choose the fuzzy animal that wears a shirt, as opposed to the regular fuzzy animal.
Terra (Esper) VS Vincent (Chaos)
I say Vincent, he can attack from the back row & still do a lot of damage. Also his Limit Breaks are way more powerful than the 'Morphed' version of Terra. Without magic Terra is pretty much nothing... She is part Esper after all...

hmm... Steiner vs. Auron (Kinda obvious)
Auron. He'd just use Shooting Star or some really cool overdrive before Steiners guage had even made it a quarter full. Plus Auron can have 5 9's of helth but Steiner can only have dun dun dun.....4! So its Auron by far.
Selphie vs Rikku
I think Rikku would win same reason as before. The gridsystem would let her deal enough damage to deal with the spunky trainwomen.
Irvine Kinneas (VIII) vs Vincent Valentine (VII) Guns only
Oh man.. Thats rough... I'm gonna go with Irvine. Dispite Vincent being my favorite character from 7, I feel irvine is a better shot. You said guns only and that means no magic. Irvine was stronger, not by much though.
Edgar vs. Amarant
That's a really tough one. I'll go with Edgar, because Chainsaw could kill many enemies in one hit. Even if that didn't work, he could just use Drill over and over, doing massive damage and lowering Amarant's defense each time.
Ultros vs. Palmer
Ultros of course. You just can't seem to ever kill. He always comes back and sometime with a friend (that cheater).
Ramza-Gau
I don't care what enemy Gau wants to turn into, Ramza will destroy him. Ninja Ramza can kill anyone/anything.
