Nuclear War : a nightmare waiting to happen...

I know I forgot some Psy, thanks. Well the UK would also be on the US's side too (I know it's off topic), France wouldn't mind you they like their nuclear testing *coughs*Pacific Ocean. But yeah, why have weapons where only cockroaches survive? And have the only disposible way of getting rid of them is to let the plutonium decay for a couple centuries. the advent of weapons is foolish, and the main reason that the US has so many nukes is The Cold War. I find that terrible that humankind can be prognators to such fool things. No wonder they say we will fall l by our own hands; we are a race that creates ways destroy not only ourselves, but Nature. A Nuclear War would mark the end of our civilization, of all life.

If the worldleaders are stupid enough to push that button, well, then hope I just die in a direct hit. Else we die from radiaton and I rather die in a direct hit then from radiaton.

But I doubt they will be that stupid to fire one. The only thing that really happens is that the world is blowen to pieces and well, what is that for an advantage if you blow yourself up?? The only thing we need to worry about with Nuclear and dead is a explosion in a nuclear facility or a terrorist attack with a nuke bomb. At least that's my opinion.

I'm not really worried about it ever happening, though it's so very possible. But I mean, really, what could we do about it? I'm sure our government is working on something that will somehow trick nukes into going out into space and blowing up when they're aimed at us...or some other nuke-defensive technology. :rolleyes2

Yeah, it's a threat, but to me it's like worrying about Yellowstone erupting or the San Andreas Fault expanding...or the sun dying...I mean, there are people in control and could do something about it, but governments are greedy and sneaky, and even if we were to get rid of all the nukes, like launch them out into space or something, someone would hide some somewhere else, or just make some more later. There's just too many stupid evil people on the planet, and sadly, many of them are in positions of power.

Jiminy Christmas folks. I've got this idea. Lets all make a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG list of everything that could go wrong and kill us all.

Massive Tsunami
Meteor Crash knocking planet into smaller obrit roasting us all
Nuclear War
Nuclear Winter
WW III
Food poisoning
Continual erosion of natural resources
over population
Mad Cow disease
blight
famine
flood
disruption to world weather patterns
Maniac holed up in a bunker with seemingly unlimited funds and insanity petting a white persian cat while his world destroying laser cannon is launched into orbit powered by the diamonds from the crown jewels stolen from the queen mums head.


That was just a WEE bit over 60 seconds. heres the deal. you worry about nuclear war. why? You've got a million natural ways to die and no one controlling it. then you've got nuclear war prospects. yeah, nuclear war will kill you real good, but all jokes aside? no one on this planet has the stones to pull the trigger that destroys the earth. no one. So i dunno, go watch some MTV. No one's gonna make you glow anytime soon.

Yeah, but neclear war is within the control of humanity, unlike a tsunami or earthquake, so that's completely different.

And no, I'd rather not watch MTV...it's more depressing than the thought of nuclear war.

a) that was my point, that it's within the control of humanity. Seeing as how humans probably don't want to be made extinct (theres kinda that whole "mutual assured destruction" thing from the cold war, FYI) then i'd be far more worried about natural disasters. b/c mother nature doesn't seem to really give an F whether we make it.

and B) the MTV line was from a henry rollins book, Black Coffee Blues. I hate MTV. Alot.
