Missingno. is a beta test or something that is needed for the game to work or the game created it it's self in order for it to function properly!

People don't know wtf is going on or what it does

Aside from the item duplication bit, as I recall if you capture Missingno and have an empty space in your party, then feed it a rare candy, it will evolve into a Kangaskan with two Water Gun attacks and a Fly attack. This is in the original Red and Blue game, by the way.

That's true. I tried to find missingno. one time and I encountered a mew. I. AM. NOT. KIDDING. I also found a charmander.

Once when I was playing pokemon crystal I found a missingno. and I killed it and then my graphics tuned into game outlines. My character turned into a tree! Then all of my pokemon tuned into dots and numbers. It was weird.:D

Oh man, I remember Missingo from Pokemon Red and Blue on the Gameboy Colour. Nolstagic trip. You found him on the shore of some place and you get super leveled pokemon like Squirtle and stuff. I loved Missingo.

i think it depended on where you seatched for it at depended on what it did?

That reminds me, in crystal I found Missingno. again straight after I encountered it and my game got erased during the fight. It was weird.
