Maybe you should only pick a few girls to send roses to, because as everyone is getting it, it wouldn't be as special ;)Quote:

I'd give up my career job, I'd work part time for the rest of my life and I'd sleep in a shack if that shack was the home to me and a lady I was in love with.
But if I can't get the latter for now, I'll take what occupational success I can get.
Bawb.... that's beautiful. *starry eyed @ you* [img]http://home.eyesonff.com/images/smilies/heart.gif[/img]
...hahah but that's the same case with my boy, so I already have someone who is beautiful inside and out ^__^
if i gave a rose to only some girls, some may feel left out, and that wouldnt be a good thing to do on valentines day.
I'm already pretty powerful. And loved. *wins*
But seriously, what does anything mean in life if nobody really gives a damn about who you are? I know many of you seem to believe love is superficial, but it isn't. Nobody LOVES you, like real love, for your looks or your money. They love you because of you.
Don't believe me if you don't want too, but I've found that those who DO NOT believe that are those who have unhappy relationships. Just my experience speaking, though.
Oh, I don't know. Not having one of them will cause me equal amounts of unhappiness, I believe. I'm talking about success as in, having lots of money, "pimped out" cars, but I really want to be successful in the career path that I'll choose.
Hmm.
:D
I just thought of some side questions to which I'd like to see responses. If you're one of those guys who likes to support and help people, what if you founded some medical technology that saved countless lives? Would that make you happy? Happier than having a family that loved you? What if you knew you probably couldn't sustain a family given your personality or your ambition? Would you still try and fail to start a family, or pursue a career?
I think you're being a bit broad.. I mean INFINITE success? That could mean alot... and WHAT is love?
What is love?
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love
Yeah
Oh I don't know, why you're not fair
I give you my love, but you don't care
So what is right, and what is wrong
Gimme a sign
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Oh I don't know, what can I do
What else can I say, it's up to you
I know we're one, just me and you
I can't go on
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love?
What is love?
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Don't hurt me
Don't hurt me
I want no other, no other love
This is your life, our time
When we are together, I need you forever
Is it love
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Yeah
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love, baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
Baby don't hurt me
Don't hurt me, no more
What is love?
Okay, I'm done.
Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan would be proud.
As for the question at hand, to have love, true love, to me, means you have already succeeded in life and everything else that may surround you, be it wealth, fame, and the like, is just part of the world that can eventually fade away or be used up.
No amount of money or power can ever fill the void that love does in my opinion.
I've also found, that those who have love in their lives oftentimes can achieve greater success, money, power and ultimately happiness in their lives. Perhaps, it makes sense that way.
Take care all.
Good point, and also very good posts from BoB and the Captain. Infinitely succesful doesn't mean infinitely happy, or happy at all. Just think about those rich princesses in those fairy tales that want out to the world to find love. ^^ Seriously though, if you can find your true love who also truly loves you back, you will certainly be at least somewhat succesful, and you'll be happy, which more than makes up for being overly succesful. Besides, money and success can be a dangerous thing. Money corrupts and success can go in your head. :DQuote:

I can't really ever enjoy Valentines day anymore, eversence an incident over the summer happened.
Hey, some girl that finally understands this.Quote:
