You can acquire a greater amount of BP during each trip through the series of fights in the Battle Square by intentionally giving yourself a handicap. That may or may not help, depending on whether you can handle the handicap.
If you're good at "slowing down" the reels by repeatedly tapping the square button, then 'breaking' all of your materia individually can easily net you over 11,000 BP in a single series of battles.
inetersting but what about the do 7 battles leave the arena then go back in dont leave the room though
Race chocobos a lot. The thing to do is ensure you have enough GP to continually fight in the Battle Square and raise your BP without having to leave (as a result of using up all your GP).
I'd think that if you complete the chocobo breeding sidequest, all the while racing each chocobo to S class, you should have plenty of BP to be able to fulfil your quest for Omnislash and W-Summon. There's also the guy who randomly shows up outside of the Gold Saucer entrance, but that could be a frustrating method to use.
if only you could take BP with you like GP
actually I think I got both with only around 200-300gp... I mean it isn't hard, wiht Yuffie and her conformer I would net anywhere from 10000-17000 in a round... easily. On occasion I would hit as low as 8000.
All you need is her conformer, the Enemy skill Big Guard, a Ribbon, time materia linked wiht added effect on the weapon. Also it can help if you have morph or something similar linked to HP absorb.
Unfortunately I never get to use the materia for long... I usually end up breaking all my materia before the last round, getting my ribbon broken, not to mention defense and attack.... so I guess I am REALLY unlucky... or lucky depending on point of view.
the 200 gb was a close one though... I got knocked out multiple times thanks to that ghost ship and his stupid pick you up and throw you out of the ring attack. :mad2:
Please someone explain "BP" for me...i kinda get the concept but i'd appreciate sum details...lol...i'm no newbie with VII, just the terminology i never use
BP is a currency that's exclusive to the Battle Arena of the Gold Saucer - it stands for "Battle Points". When fighting in the Battle Arena, you're awarded a certain amount of BP after each series of 8 fights, and the amount you get depends on the handicap. After each round of fighting, a slot wheel appears, and each face of the slot faces holds a different handicap, ranging from disallowing certain types of materia to cutting your HP in half. The tougher the handicap, the more BP you get, assuming you overcome the handicap.
With the BP you gain from fighting, you can exchange it for items inside the Battle Arena, many of which are exclusive to the Battle Arena. Each series of fights costs GP (the overall currency of the Gold Saucer, not to be mistaken with Gil, the universal currency of the world), and all BP you gain during your time in the Battle Arena is reduced to zero once you leave. This is why it's recommended that you come in with a lot of GP, so you can in turn fight many battles and gain a lot of BP (and have the ability to exchange it for some of the more valuable items without running out).
The two most BP-expensive Battle Arena items are: the Omnislash manual, which teaches Cloud his strongest (level 4) limit break, Omnislash - it costs 32,000 BP, generally; and even more expensive is the W-Summon materia, one of the strongest command materia in the game, which allows you to summon a combination of any two (instead of the usual one) Summon materia in one command - it costs 64,000 BP, generally.
Omnislash and Lionheart both have a set number of hits. Omnislash always hits 14 times. Lionheart always hits 17 times. It's Renzokuken that leads up to Lionheart that varies in the number of hits.Quote:

Often times, you'll find that reading the thread may already answer your question.
Ahh, thank you, I am a very lazy Reader!
