Yeah, thanks to a book on codes and ciphers, as well as a talent/interest for these things, once I'd got 3 Al bhed primers and copied down what was written on a few of the 'There's something written here in Al Bhed' ruins, I was able to decode the whole 'language' in less than half an hour. Interestingly enough, I find that it helps with learning real languages if I think of them as a really complex code... That's how I taught myself to speak and somewhat read & write Japanese (I'd be considered about Jr. High level for reading and wriding Japanese).Quote:

It's also incredibly useful because you get 99 Underdog's Secret from Rin if I remember correctly. These can be used to get the Double Overdrive ability on your weapons through customization. Just FYI, that ability helped me alot in certain boss fights later in the game (smashing bosses around with overdrives at twice the normal rate is great). It's also a lot easier and less annoying than getting the ability (Double or Triple) through bribing or the monster arena.
i have almost none of them but since i can say ym prat...i can always tell what they are saying.
heh, actually you shouldn't need all of them,I only got like half in FFX and I still figured it all out and mastered changing Al Bhed to English and vis versa by process of elimination.
oie=you cunno=sorry efeda=under us sen=sin :cool:

your name is Rachel. The name is easier to translate than mine,. Try figuring this out. Zysea-Mohh.. But just to say I COULD have looked at your profile and found that way, but I didn't.
what about me?
Not yet, and I think I never will. It's hard to a non-native english speaker to learn words in english AND the cypher together...
