Heh. I knew all of them.

I can answer all of those questions, and I was born in 1985. That means that I was barely even sentient during the 80s, and I still know all of that.

I'm old enough to have used Beta, except my family didn't own a VCR until the early 1990s by which point Beta was pretty much crushed into nonexistence by VHS, so I've never actually used one.

Actually, I hadn't heard of Mondale using the "Where's the Beef" line.

When I was a kid it was all over the TV with the Wendy's commercials. This little crotchety old lady would go to The Competitor's restaurant and order a hamburger, and the hamburger patty would be about the size of a quarter, and she'd shout "where's the beef?!"

It was pretty much the 80's version of "All Your Base Are Belong To Us"--so no, I'm not making some political hint here, or implicating anybody, or anything like that.
