it looks like the quote was correct and ghandi was going on about mass martyrdom.

Mass Matyrdom is kinda a dumb idea. It isn't like the rest of germany was watching the Holocaust or news cameras were there.

Civil Disobediance and Matyrdom really only work under very limited circumstances: A country that is still civilized enough to recognize the evil that you are protesting, Some way that the martyrdom is public enough so the general public knows about it, and a governmant that gives two s what the people think. Without all that, the martyrdom activites and civil disobedience doesn't change anything.

And I have no idea if Ghandi was racist.
