I'll have to fix that up, and put Dashboard Confessionals instead of Blink 182. xDQuote:

What the hell do you mean by being "an emo" anyway?
An emo and an emo kid are the same thing in my eyes anyway, don't know about everyone else.Quote:

And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm actually asking.
I know I sent you a pm with this in it but I want to tell the world
An emo is a person who rejects "pop culture" and joins the counter-culture realm. Usually has ideas contrary to popular opinion and seeks to gain a better understanding of life through artistic venues. May appear depressed, have black or red hair, and dress in a way that is contrary to what is popular. Thrift stores, art, coffee shops, underground music, and poetry are usually of great interest. Contrary to popular opinion, though an emo kid may seem depressed, within their own group there is an element of deep understanding and friendship. Emo kids see the world as beautiful, but its inhabitants as lost and depressing. And this describes me fully
So stick that in your pipe and smoke it
Basically it's equated to rejecting things that are popular and doing things your 'own way', by which I mean 'the same exact way a bunch of other kids do it'. Same, different label.
Basically it's the new goth. Claiming to be unique, yet still following a trend.Quote:

lol urban dictionary, same place you got yours from, just you picked out the "positive" one.
Irony is, when I hear emo kids saying "I'm in touch with my feelings", it's usually a load of rubbish. Crying in your room listening to a Dashboard Confessionals song is not in touch with your feelings, it's not going to make that you girl you want like you more, actually acting like a human being is going to do that, genius.
I agree with that a lot. It's not being in touch with your feelings, it's being obsessive about one negative feeling.Quote:

Heh, thats kinda funny.
Go emo.
