I never get virus's
*secretly adds link to pic of spam meat.*
I hate viruses, its annoying to death, it makes me want to throw away my computer...
The last virus that caused trouble for me was a couple of years ago.
If you want to make firefox even tighter against popups, get the adblocker extension.
I'm surprised no one has tried to make the distinction between 'hackers' and 'crackers'
I mean srsly, go to MIT's hacks website. Now *that* is hacking.
and good stuff at that <3
I wish I had a dragon, that could bring me into the internet, and electronic world, so I could go and destroy lall viruses, and go drakengard on every virus, and hackers hardware!!!
I was about to define the differences, but I'm lazy and just said that there were differences.Quote:

One time I was walking down the road after going grocery shopping (sorry) and some filthy scum ran up to me and hacked both my arms off. That bastard. :mad2:
Viruses keep me on my toes. I've had to deal with viruses twice in two months -- my brother's computer got infested by a trojan and a few weeks ago my aunt's computer had a virus IN THE PAGE FILE.
The page file is not deletable. How do you think I managed to undo that mess?
:D I was looking a cetain "stuff" and i got a trojan, but macfee deleted it with leet talking. I didn't stand a chance :D
What do people get out of making viruses?
hacking i can see the point of but viruses?
you may die now........
:shoot:
i think that my computer has a virus...
but i'm too lazy to sort it out
plus my knowledge of computers is about as good as a dead dogs :rolleyes2
My computer has HIV. :(
I shouldn't have let my pet monkey near it.
Ok, need some tools eh?
Free virus scanner that kicks much ass: AVG FREE edition
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
I Highly suggest AVG free as I have been running it now for one year. IT is easy to run and hs one small updater that is on a customisable scheduler. I was testing AVG vs Norton - and AVG wins in every area. Norton sucks now - no big suprise.

For spyware there is only one king: Spybot S & D
For some kicks, read the Eula :)
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
This awsome (and free!!) utility will anihalate most spyware if you keep it updated. It is not perfect but easily the better of whats out there (Free or paid).

For browser hijacks - that is when you get annoying popups and such - HijakThis makes editing the regestry easy. Only do this if you know what you are doing. It can mess yor system up good!! Feel free to post your hijakthis log to any forum really (there are a ton of hijakthis forums). There are tons of people who can tell you what keys should go. or email unbipper@yahoo.com (no spam) :(

For a great browsing experience get firefox.
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/download.html
A great secure browser that is not owned by microsoft - and there for rocks. Besides that fact - it allows tabbed browsing, very css friendly and w3c standard compliant. Meaning you will see the web the way it should be. (No css hacks for web programmers ;) yay! Firefox has a host of features i think you would like.
I hope all of this helps you in your fight against the internet :)
Bipper - never a white hat
Trojans are usually used to gain access to someone's personal data and could be used for identity theft. Zombie virii are used for widely distributed attacks against a powerful server (generally something in the government or a big corporation.) Virii that just destroy your computer are used for mayhem.Quote:

Then, of course, you've also got the scriptkiddies, who search on Limewire or whatever it is the kids use these days for virii they can install on their friends computer. They don't know how to properly use it, they don't know how it works, but bam, your computer just got infected by a twelve-year-old dumbass who goes to school the next day and tells all of his friends that are actually more naive than him that he's now officially a "hacker."
God I hate scriptkiddies.
Eh, I'm done ranting now.
Nice generalization... I have hacking skills - but i am mostley sane... so i thought.
I am more into testing my websites vs injections, and paging through ram for some projects i work on. I am a programmer so it is only natural to know the enemy? Right?...
omg.. I'm fu#$#d up!
