It looks a bit like something from Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, it looks kinda like Ike the main characters but if it were bigger and you saw ALL of their clothes it would be easier to tell ( i HAVE clicked the link so i aint stupid LOL), its a nice pic though.
I know that's not Escaflowne. If I had to guess I'd say maybe Fushigi Yuugi.
