Haha.
Coldplay are whine-pop.
jrgen is right anyway, most of the bands people are citing are Metal, or just most definitely rock.
Anyway, Hell Is For Heroes fo' sho', You Drove Me To It is such a hefty piece of rock.

Shockingly I AM saying I don't like coldplay, congratulations for that fantastic deduction there Sherlock.
Though I suppose there is vast skill in playing the same three kinds of songs over and over, the song that sounds like The Scientist, the song that sounds like Clocks, and the song that sounds like The Scientist crossed with Clocks.
Coldplay is pretty awful, in my opinion.
I'm not a big fan of Rock 'n' Roll, I'm more into Alternative, but Aerosmith are pretty cool. And I really like Queen, but they're more Rock-Opera.
.....sorry for sounding so mean lindy....i just really like coldplay.......and come to think about it....your right....they do sound the same..........
Pierced Nipples.
umm...hmmm....probably Faith No More if this thread is about "rock & roll".
My Chemical Romance, Green Day, The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, Hawthrone Heights, Blink 182, Good Charolette, and probably more but I don't remember there names.

I'll think up some more later.
Boston is my favorite. Totally love their classics. (More than a feeling.) :P
