I find it punk rock & it's still punk
Green Day have never been punk, they're Pop Punk. I'd say they're more rock and roll style than punk for sure.
I think they're punk, and I think they're good. Overplayed, maybe, but I still like most of their stuff.
I went to see them pre-American Idiot and it was totally awesome. I'm not a fan of the new album, but Holiday and Give Me Novacaine are okay. Nimrod and Dookie for the win <3.
They were my favorite band in junior high. And thusly my favorite album is Dookie.
Yes. I really don't like bands being political as only very few can pull it off. SoaD is the only band that pulls it off good, in my opinion. Green Day did have some very good older songs. I love Good Riddance.Quote:

I like Green Day and listen to them frequently (Thanks to Faris ;]). Although I still believe Time of Your Life is their greatest song.
I don't like American Idiot or Warning, personally. Everyone knows it's all about oldschool Green Day. :p
Warning isn't so bad, it has some good songs on it, it's just not a usual Green Day style album. The ones on American Idiot are too crappy soft rock, though.
NOFX pull off being political pretty good. The Clash were the best political band by far. :cool:Quote:
