I wish people would have backup plans.
Or brains, that'd be nice as well.
Hmmmm...
Drive 15 miles to town = 18-22 minutes.
Walk 15 miles to town = ....... Not gonna happen.
Here's a better plan: Boycott the major gasoline companies for the rest of the year. I know that in Canada, those companies include Petro Canada, Shell and Esso. I'm not sure what they are elsewhere in the world, but suffice it say, buy gasoline elsewhere. We can't live without gasoline, but if the major gas companies aren't selling, they'll be inclined to reduce their prices, and other companies will surely follow suit. Think about it...
That's like a 45 minute walk. If you take it slow in the heat, an hour. Take a bottle of water. And then when global temperatures continue to rise you will be prepared, as well as being able to get wherever you need to on foot when there is no more gas.Quote:

Half running half walking a mile took me, the last time I timed, sixteen minutes xD But that was six years ago:O and that was flat ground xD
I remember having to walk everywhere in louisiana. Of course it was crossing the streets, which is what took a lot of the time xD
Here's an idea, let's switch away from fossil fuels and start using nuclear power more!
As to our running out of gas... Yes, it will happen, but not anytime soon. As the gas runs out, the deposits which were thought to be "too costly" to tap will begin to be used. The more something is wanted, the more it's worth. Prices will continue to rise, but gas won't run out for a while.
Reasons:
1) OPEC has raised the price of oil per barrel a tremendous amount. 70 per barrel. They make hell of a lot of profit with it.
2) Not enough refineries in America to process oil.
bad planning = bad outcomes
Heh, fair enough. I don't know how uphill uphill is, but eh, my post wasn't entirely serious anyways. I wouldn't walk that unless I didn't have the choice.Quote:

I mean forever. Of course, that's easier said than done.Quote:
