Kidding aside, if what you mean is "Why is being gay popular", then the answer is it's not popular. It's simply becoming socially acceptable.

If that was directed at me in anyway, then I assure you that I have nothing against anyone's sexual preference. I was saying that being gay is not popular, due to the amount of hatred they receive on a daily basis, but it is slowly, but surely, becoming more acceptable to common society.

But yeah. Yay for tolerance.

I'm gay. It's not popular to be gay. Though a lot of straight guys have picked up our fashion sense (the polo was originally gay fashion) now we evolved into better things. Besides, preps popped the collar and it was all over from there.
