Favorite FF series

The early games had something to 'em that the older ones lost.

I gotta go with the newer FFs, because VII was the first one I ever played, and it'll always have that special something for me :)

Hated FF8 (I never even give it the dignity of roman numerals), loved IX, only played through half of X (I liked it, I just didn't own it :o), can't afford XI. I also like X-2.

But I am a fan of the older games, and I also like Mystic Quest and Tactics. FFVII is what pushed me to vote for the 'new' games ;)

yea, 7's gotta be the best. Seeing as it was basically the first 3D RPG i think it did pretty well to set the bar. The addictive game play, kick ass storyline and characters, and not to mention CG for playstation was really quite cool back in the day XD.

I like the PS1 games the best of all FF games among main titles anyway... I liked FF Tactics, but Chocobos Dungeon 2 was just awful, as well as Legend of Mana. I'll probably bring on a big wrath for that... FFVII-IX was best of all Final Fantasy games, I liked X & X-2 as well, but they're just not as great as the PSX Final Fantasy games. As for the nintendo games, I like the FFVI remake on PSX, but that's about it. The other games are okay, like V for it's unique job system, but just lacking a certain umph to them.
