Irregular Hunter X, by the way, is a remake of Rockman X in 2.5D, making it look kind of like Rockman X8. Even less is known about it right now than is known of Rockman Rockman, but the expectation is extra features. Capcom is really going to have to put some effort into it; Rockman was always a pretty clunky game, so a remake is already welcome, but Rockman X was a stellar game to begin with, so it's going to take something special to convince people they need to buy it a second time.
I recently downloaded Megaman X on Rom, and boy do I love it. Irregular Hunter X is much higher on my list than Rockman Rockman.Quote:

Rockman Rockman's in-game sprite for Mega Man looks dumb, but Irregular Hunter X looks like it's gonna be cool. I was always a bigger fan of MMX, anyhow.
It's a polygon model, not a sprite.
I'd say that, at least in these kinds of games, a well-drawn sprite will generally always beat out a soft-edged polygon model, especially on a small screen. On the other hand, these days polygons always look better in motion, so it's not really fair to judge them based on static screenshots.
I'm mainly referring to Irregular Hunter X there, though. Forget boldness and personality: Rockman Rockman's player model looks dumb for its sheer big-headedness. I'm sure there's a way to make that hyperdeformed style work, but that isn't it. Maybe it'll look better in motion, though.
That's pretty cool!! Especially for an original of a series. You don't see too many remake's of the game that started the whole series now-a-day's...
I hope the Maverick Hunter X stages are longer, because I practically know every jump and spike from the original.
I love the idea of designing my own Mega Man stages. It just seems like a shame they had to remake one of the NES Mega Man games that wasn't any good.
Psh wheres the Rockman Dash remakes? ; ; This makes me sad right to the very core of my own pants.
Well, they aren't really changing anything with those. :DQuote:
