We've had a couple of nearly-flash-floods, but seeing how I live up on a highly elevated hill (mountain) they never really worry us.
it was dark and gloomy night-like day yesterday. water gives life, and water brings so many death...
We got a hench thunderstorm yesturday, but it cleared up by about 6pm.
Yeah we've had a lot of thunder and lightning, not as much rain though. But quite a lot.

Did you know that if you're bald and get struck by lightning, that you get cured?
Id be pretty freaked I'd get struck by lightning one way or another.
Florida has thunderstorms almost everyday May-October between 3-5 pm.....plus occasional hurricanes and other tropical storms too, but with Katrina and Ophelia, they've sucked all the moisture out of the air and it hasn't rained near me in like 2 or 3 days......
There was a good thunderstorm up here a few days ago (Wisconsin), so I went out and walked around in it for a little while. Quite a few people thought I was drunk -- college campus, raining like hell, one guy walking around with no books or anything for a class. What a schmuck, huh? But I was sweet and also called a lady friend of mine, because I know she's afraid of thunderstorms.
It was raining a few days ago here in Arizona and everybody forgot how to drive.
I like thunderstorms. I find them to be peaceful.
So do I, as long as they don't unleash themselves right over my head.
Just got out of a bloody monsoon....lousy weather around Alberta lately.
