You said 7/8 divided by five. that's the same as multiplying by 1/5.
the real answer is 4 3/8
7*5=35
8*1=8
35-/-8=4.3
4 3/8
get it?
That would be multiplying 7/8 by 5, not dividing. Generally the / sign denotes division. Given your original problem of 7 8ths/5, that would be 7/8 ÷ 5.
mental math, the $calc() function in mIRC and the windows calculator all give me 0.175 or 7/40
you do division, eventually. 35/8. but you're right, that's multiplying, not division.
that's just how I was taught it.
I need more problems. Gimme problems!!!
(keep it easy, though)
Find the integral of (e^x)sinxdx. Use the Looper Method by Parts.
The math you're doing bores me.
I asked for something easy!!! I just say I'm 18!!! I'm younger than that!!!!
(and what is e and x???)
and what does integral mean!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I'm 17. ;]Quote:

e = 2.71828183
x is a variable.
