splitter programs have worked well for me in the past split the movie about half way so you end up with 2 differnt files.
use nero to burn the 2 files to 2cdr's it will probly start to encode the files which takes a while.
ive only done this when making vcd's to play in my dvd player :)

once the files are split tell nero 6 or above to make a video cd :)
burn 1 file (be prepared to wait up to an hour for it to re-encode the file it will burn as soon as its encoded) once its finished burn the second one to a seperate disc :)
btw just type in google video splitter or avi splitter then u will find one that works i forget the name of the one i used but i got it from google after searching for they things :)
