^Fanboyish comments have nothing to do with how good a game's soundtrack is.


To me, FFIV and VI both have the best sountrack in the series (Zeromus' theme, Dancing Mad, Kefka's theme, Aria di mezzo caraterre, etc.)

No soundtrack grabs me emotionally as much as the X soundtrack does.

Primarily the intro and Besaid theme.

I always feel like I have to play FF when I hear X music.

VIII and X had the most real sounding music ever.. i love zanrarkand, and ami..
from snes days VI all the way!!!

In order from best soundtrack to the not so great. (In my opinion)

1.FFVI
2.FFX
3.FFX-2 (Yes, I did enjoy that game and it's music)
4.FFVII
5.FFII
6.Mystic Quest had some pretty decent stuff
7.FFIV
8.FFIII


Anything left out means I didn't enjoy it in any way.

the songs that stand out for me are.

Yunalesca's battle theme... whatever thats called FFX (it makes you feel you need to save the world).
J-E-N-O-V-A FFVII (if someone hates this song... i will personnaly make them come to like it).
Disquiet FFX-2 (one of the "good" songs of ffx-2).
Premonition FFVIII (it suits the mood brilliantly).

VII,X i can't really think of anymore right now...

My favorites in order:

1. FFX
2. FFT
3. FFVII
4. FFVIII
5. Chrono Trigger (I know it's not mainstream FF, but it was one of the best soundtracks ever!)
6. and FFVI's final boss themes

VII had a good sountrack, but I feel it's lacking something when compared to the games before it, I dunno, call me crazy, but I just feel some of the songs lack emotion.

I must, however, admit the game had some good pieces of music, such as (The horribly overrated and with ripped off lyrics yet still a decent song) One Winged Angel, J-E-N-O-V-A, Still more fighting, and other stuff I can't think of now.

VI had the best sountrack in the series, if you ask me (Then again, I can be called biased as hell), due to songs such as Kefka's theme, Awakening, Aria Di Mezzo carattere, The Decisive battle, Dancing Mad, Devil's Lab, etc.
