i use the limit trick and use barret and yuffie all the time until i get cid. then barret and cid (ungarmaX/catastrophe and highwind :D)

Yuffie for her morph

Barret for his power and cool limit break

First playthrough Tifa and Barret.
Second Tifa and Nanaki.
Third Tifa and Yuffie.
Fourth Yuffie and Cid
Fifth Yuffie and Cid
Next play I'm probably going to use Vincent.

tifa, gets amazing once her limits start to pile up, since she does all of them in sequence

I would say...

Red-XIII, Cid, Tifa Cid is strong... I was amazed the first time I played with him.... but my party is alway been Cloud, Tifa, Barret

I lvl all of my charecters because I am a game perfectionist, but my two favorites have to be... Vincent and Nanaki

I always try as well, I beat FFVII like 5 times already... everyone at lvl 99 and over maxing the EXP points. they still go up after you max out lvls

My favorite characters are Barret and RedVIII:D

Vincent- he gose good with Ultama and he got nice limit breaks

Cid-has the E. Skill martra, good limits, nice attacks

definitely Cid and Barret (cloud of course as well)
because they have the best final limit breaks and that's really the only difference with the characters
