Good frikkin grief

Anamo can draw pretty ok monsters, but I really don't like the way he's drawing characters.

I think he's attempting to mimic ancient Japanese murals and adding in his own style. I bet he could come up with better or more realistic styles if he wanted to. But the white-skinned "everybody looks like a scrawny butch girl" is his trademark now, so he sorta runs with it or something.

His Yuna drawings aren't bad though. I don't care much for many of his other character drawings though, they look too much the same as one another. eg: Faris = Lenna = Cara = Terra = Celes = Garnet etc....if you've seen his drawings of these characters then you know what i'm talking about. I've been to his web site and saw all his other art and I can say that it is a hell of alot better than most of the drawings he does for the Final Fantasy series.

I'd have to agree with you there. Otherwise, the designs didn't bother me a great deal. I'm not particularly in love with Amano's work, nor do I dislike it.

His ff8 and ffx and probably ff7 as well drawings were done after the characters were designed by Nomura.

Yeah, he's very good at drawing anything but humans. Sure, some humans turns out ok, but most of them turn out [img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img][img]/xxx.gif[/img](especially FFV and FFVI), and all the girls have the same faces. also, the FFIX cd plates was ugly.

I'd have to disagree with you about the FFIX CD plates. I thought that was some of his better Final Fantasy work.

Ok, so maybe it wasn't _ugly_ . I'm just saying, give a kid a paper and some crayons, and let's see who draws humans best.

I just like his style cos its flowy. ^^ Other than that, its alright I guess. Its just the way he draws, and no amount of complaining is going to fix that.

I think his Zidane ones of IX was ok....but some of them i agree with you on though.

True.....but still.....Faris, Lenna and Cara all look the same..like they are triplets or something.
Faris still looks like a girl...when she is ment to be acting like a guy.

It's kinda wierd I don't really like his style. It's like a twisted form of ancient chinese brush painting.
