Question:
Compressing Video files, does this affect the quality of the video in any way?
If you mean converting it from dvd/raw avi -> divx/xvid/... then yes. If you mean with winzip/winrar, well, let me ask you a question: does compressing your text files change the text?
Yes.Quote:

Have winrar extract the archive.
ok its opened and now it shows as a music file? how can it be a video
What file extension does it have?
If you have file extensions hidden, it could simply look like a music file because the computer you're using has a music playing program associated with that file type.
it says video clip, but wen i open it with windows media it opens it as a song
Maybe you need the codec to play the video.
i dont think codec would b the problem
If a video file is playing as an audio file in Windows Media Player, then it is a codec problem. How has the movie been compressed; is it DivX? Download GSpot to identify the codec that is required; then Google for whatever it is you don't have.
it is compressed by winrar, ne downloads?
Winrar is not a codec. It is a lossless archival format.
WUT!?!?!? WUT DO U MEEN
