It actually doesn't really have too much of a flavour on it's own, but it absorbs the flavours of whatever it's cooked with. On its own, it sort of has a bit of a nutty taste I would say. I like mine with Teriyaki sauce. :)

Rareish red meat, or chicken of any sort and im happy.

White. Red creeps me out....

I like both, but I try to go for white if I can help it. It's healthier, or so I'm told.
