FFTA. I was playing it for half of 2005. It was so addicting. Now that I beat it like 34 times, its boring now. :(

An excellent game, and one I simply can't put down. The course design is fantastic, the handling is superb, and the difficulty level is spot on. Just when I thought Mario Kart couldn't get any better, Nintendo game along and released this beauty. The only major gripe I have with this game is that the original Koopa Troopa Beach course from the Nintendo 64 version of Mario Kart isn't included in the retro track section. 'Twas my favourite course, you see.
And that's my favourite game of 2005. Classic Nintendo goodness.
(WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 comes in at a close second).
F.E.A.R. was good, Shadow of the Colossus was good, Resident Evil 4 was good, We <3 Katamari was good, Devil May Cry 3 was good, Ninja Gaiden Black was good (not sure if that really counts though), Soul Calibur III was good, Dragon Quest VIII was good, Guild Wars was alright while it lasted, Battlefield 2 was good, FFIVA was good, Minish Cap was incredible.
A lot of stuff was good, but I don't know if there was any one game that completely blew everything away. That said, I think Minish Cap was the game of the year. It's Zelda so I almost have to do it. The level design was wildly original and the somewhat quirky version of Hyrule worked really well. Shadow of the Colossus gets props for being original and having the best ending ever in any video game, Battlefield 2 gets points for the awesomeness it constantly delivers, and F.E.A.R. gets points for combining two genres that really didn't seem like they would mix.
I agree. It's so addictive. It's like crack...not that I know anything about crack. :)Quote:

Advance Wars Dual Strike was the best new release I've played this year.
Hmm, ive played loads of games this year!
Among the best ones:
Tales of Symphonia
FF1&2 Dawn of Souls
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Resident Evil 4 GCN
Xenosaga Ep 2
>.< I cant think of any others, but hey, I AM drunk right now..
Metal Gear Solid 3.
Living in europe and all.
Tekken 5 has some bad voiceovers, plus, the story mode is a bit stupid.
My vote goes to..
Pokemon Emerald.
Got it for X-mas but it's the only game I remember having so much playability value.
I had to quote that, expressed my feelings entirely.Quote:

Resident Evil 4 and Lumines.
Resident Evil 4 or God of War.
I'm very sure that was the game deserving 2004 game of the year.Quote:
