Basically the only good album all year was Nickelback - All the Right Reasons.
Eminem - Curtain Call - The Hits.
There were many fantastic songs this year - by heaps of different artists, but a album as a whole, Eminem wins it for me.
Gorillaz--- Demon Days
Green Day--- American Idiot
Immolation, Harnessing Ruin
Primordial, The Gathering Wilderness
Cryptopsy, Once Was Not
Nevermore, This Godless Endeavor
Opeth, Ghost Reveries
Behemoth, Demigod
Hypocrisy, Virus
Strapping Young Lad, Alien
Judas Priest, Angel of Retribution
Porcupine Tree, Deadwing
Paradise Lost, Paradise Lost
Hammerfall, Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken
Helloween, Keeper Of The Seven Keys : The Legacy
I was about to say nothing until I was reminded Frances the Mute came out this year. Blows Deloused out of the water if you ask me (and I love Deloused).
I forgot about Hypocrisy and Boris.
Avenged sevenfold-City of Evil.
I'd say it's a toss-up between...
Shinedown's Us and Them
Audioslave's Out of Exile
Avenged Sevenfold's City of Evil
Only album I bought this year was Fantomas' Suspended Animation.
I thought this year was a great year for new music, if only because people in the UK finally started giving indie some recognition. This list is in no particular order:
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
British Sea Power - Open Season
Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better
Beck - Guero
The Futureheads - The Futureheads
Editors - The Back Room
The Rakes - Capture/Release
Got to be Coheed and Cambria's Good Apollo :)
Well this year I really liked..
Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better
Nirvana - Sliver: Best Of The Box
Goldfinger - Disconnection Notice
That's about all I can remember
Gorillaz-Demon days is the only album I have really listened to this year.:)
Millencolin - Kingwood
Best album of the year.:D
