Not really. I guess it's big in clubs, but not on the radio really. xD
I like technoish sounding music. Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future have what I would consider techno music. I like that sort of music. Too bad America either
A) Doesn't make it
B) Is reallyty at making it
C) Is way to underground to know about
The stuff I hear in clubs and stuff like that is complete. They have the exact same sound/beat/whatever going on for one minute then slightly alter it. KNOW WHAT! To see what I am talking about just watch Strong Bad's e-mail on techno music at www.homestarrunner.com .
You guys need to familiarize yourself with Brisk and Trixxy's Eyeopener.
In a BAD way.
I'll pass on that.
No, we only listen to Country and Jazz.
I'm in Canada and it's quite popular around my friends.
i think techno is cool sounding
Techno is creepy. Some songs are ok but most of it is the same short bass line the whole way through and it grinds my nerves, especially if its loud. Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Ooomph Yargh! I could be getting it mixed up with dance music though. It dosn't appear that often in New Zealand.
*moves to The Lounge*
I don't hear too much of it, but one of the radio stations that I listen do seems to play it in the evenings and I don't mind the stuff that they play. I couldn't listen to it for more than a few hours though myself before I'd want to hear some good rock.
yeah, dj tiesto, dj mystic, telepopmusik, ATB, moby, 4 strings, daft punk, chemical brothers etc. Im American and listen to techno.......
Don't even remind me of Brokeback Mountain. *shudders*Quote:

I keep hearing that term, often in a derogatory manner, what the hell actually IS it?Quote:
