My grandma lives close to a field so it's kinda hard to miss them when I'm there.
I wrote a poem back in 2002 about a dream I had involving being in an inescapable field of sunflowers for as far as I could see in all directions. It was beautiful but there was pollen floating around everywhere and I felt like I couldn't catch a breath. Crazy, that was a long time ago. Sunflowers are awesome.

I like sunflower seeds. I had a friend who was obsessed with everything sunflower. If I've ever written you a letter from the intarwebz, it'll have been on my sunflower stationary.
I use to grow a few sunflowers every year.

Only time I ever saw a sunflower was when our old head teacher, he was obsessed with gardening, brought one into school to talk about in assemly. It was HUGE!!!! Theyre pretty interesting, I guess. I think we also used to have one in our back garden...maybe...
There are sunflower fields in Tuscany. Yeah, they are planted for commercial purposes, but how stunningly beautiful. ^_^
