I'm actually pretty surprised about this coice for job. FF doesn't really have many traditional "pirate" characters. Leyla being the only exception I can really thing of.

Ahhh, stop giving me reasons to want to go back to this goddamn game.
I'm sold if its Dual Wield hand guns.
muahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!
I'd really like to know a bit more about how this gamble technique works. If it is as random as it sounds, I'll have to agree that an unpredictability in battle may make it dysfunctional in parties. I can imagine other people blaming bad luck on the player. I trust that SE will have some way to make them reliable.
Nice stuff :)

More information has become available relating to the newly-announced Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan job, Corsair. As a support class, Corsairs won’t be doing terribly high damage. Instead they will rely on specific bullets that can be loaded into their hexaguns. These bullets will inflict certain status ailments, to aid friends or cripple foes.
The Corsairs will also have an ability called Gamble. This ability is based off of the Slots ability that has been featured in previous Final Fantasy titles. Corsair users can then expect to have some timed moves at their disposal, some of which may backfire if used incorrectly. You'll be able to play a Corsair for yourself when Final Fantasy XI: Treasures of Aht Urhgan becomes available in North America April 18.

I'm really wondering if blue mage is going to become a sought-after sub for RDM. If it is... more leveling subs for me. As if BLM, WHM, and NIN weren't enough already.
BLU would be qute hard to master early on.
I mean not knowing which monsters to go to and stuff and all.
