If you tie them backwards, left over right, they'll be more even. This is true for bows in general.
As a rule of thumb, I usually double knot mine, so they aren't too long and make me trip and so they stay tied.
It also discourages friends who attempt to untie your shoes when you aren't paying attention.Quote:

I haven't worn any shoes with laces for about four years. But I remember I never actually tied my laces, I just tucked them inside my shoe.
I trip on mine...
After posting my pictures I've been wearing one shoe and one boot all day :) At one point someone knocked on my door, and forgetting I had two different things on, I went straight to answer it. It was my immediate boss. He gave me a funny look, but didn't mention it :) I didn't realize what the look was for until much later.
I rarely did, but I have a wicked pair of Acupuncture shoes which have zips and laces. I stuff the laces into the zip part of the shoes, then zip them up! No more annoying laces. I love my shoes :D
I don't actually tie my shoelaces xD I tuck them in the side of the shoe, because it is just uncool to wear skate shoes with the shoelaces showing.

I have to kick riley to make her stop trying to untie mine.Quote:
