I have no problem typing out ":cat :", but it would be nice if the kitty were in default :cat: (Take out the Moomba and the first Chocobo, I never see people use them.)

Damn right!

It's fun to type the smilies rather than clicking. Besides, the default location of the smiley is at the end of the sentece you've just typed. :D And its more movement to move your hand to the mouse to move the curser over a smiley of your choice in the smiley box and clicking it, than it is just typing it out. :moomba:

Spiff, I wish for the ability to customize smilies as well, but this is all up to the Admins and on how lazy they are, etc. and if there is actually a means of doing this. We'll just have to see. :cat:

It would require a separate entry for each user in the database and a bit of extra code. If vB comes up with something on their own, I'm sure we'll use it. Otherwise, it would likely take more time that it was worth.

Who knows what will happen in the future, though. :)
