Damn I shouldnt have tried and been diffrent and just voted Thrash.
First of all list actual black metal bands, not Gothic metal bands, well Dimmu's first two were black metal but ... aside from that my point stands.Quote:

Now, I admit saying that a genre sucks is kind of stupid on a site where there is only one other person whose taste in metal I can even begin to say is good, but the point stands ... there is only one style of metal represented in this thread. Thrash, and well lets face it there are alot of genres than that.
It gets really annoying when you guys act like that is all that exists.
Anyways, your stupid 7 million genre comment was not needed at all.
There are about 10 different subgenres in metal:
Death
Folk
Black
Thrash
Power
Heavy
Doom
Gothic
Metalcore (this can only be considered metal if the metal influence is higher in ratio to that of the hardcore influence, examples of metal metalcore bands are The Red Chord, Despised Icon, and Job For A Cowboy)
Progressive metal
Blah blah I'm a prick yeah I know.
Voting Thrash all the way. Glam annoys me on so many levels.
We don't think of it like the only one, we think of it like the best one we like, and that's one of the reason because we created this thread.Quote:

And like I already said, if you wanted more choices, you could have answered for it, in place of yell at us our likes.
In other topic, I too like Black Metal, some bands I like are:
Cradle of Filth (it is also Black Metal, actually, Gothic/Black Metal)
Dimmu Borgir (Sympho Black Metal)
Bathory
Emperor (Symphonic Black Metal)
Gorgoroth
Darkthrone
Borknagar
Judas Iscariot
Tartaros
Marduk
Graveworm
And the list grows...
So please, don't bash our likes, and attach to yours, ok?
oh, and something more, there are more styles of metal, like:
Metal
Heavy Metal
Thrash Metal
Glam Metalhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glam_metal
Black Metal
Death Metal
Goth Metal
Speed Metal
Power Metal
Progressive Metal
Alternative Metal
Folk Metal
Symphonic Metal
Avant Garde Metal
Christian Metal
Classic Metal
Doom Metal
Funk Metal
Groove Metal
Industrial Metal
Shock Metal
UK Metal
So, what's your point?
Sorry guys, I really appologize for being an ass, just ... I was really pissed off earlier today and ended up bitching and taking it out here.
So yeah, I ... ack. >_>;; Yeah, I wasn't refering to you specifically about Glam being metal, moreso Venom.
Yeah, so. Uh. I'm sorry and just want to say that regardless I still think that the Big Four are some of the worst thrash bands
:tonberry:
EDIT:
Cradle of Filth (Nope, there is black metal influence in places but as a whole Gothic metal)
Dimmu Borgir (First two were Symphonic BM, everything else was Gothic metal)
Bathory
Emperor (Symphonic Black Metal)
Gorgoroth
Darkthrone
Borknagar
Judas Iscariot
Tartaros
Marduk
Graveworm
Everything else is good =)
Thanks for your apologize, now, can we be friends?:DQuote:

Atheist - Piece of Time (amazing jazzy death/thrash)
Have'em too, so don't worry :p, but still I think Megadeth is the best, so I don't really know :rolleyes2Quote:

God, I'm a music freak... And I LIKE THAT!!!!
Hobb's Angel Of Death?
Who everyone deems to be a Slayer rip off, but I deem them to do Slayer better than Slayer does.
Good, you calmed down, well at least this thread is still up.
Me, I would class stuff such as Machine Head as Thrash too, they're a bit too fast to be normal heavy.
and that 7 billion comment was sarcasm, I think you missed it.
Like I said things would be easier if all sub genres were just put as either metal or heavy metal.
Actually, they would not be easier at all.Quote:

yeah, but all these sub genres are confusing and end up in conflicts and stuff.
Then learn them ... honestly once you learn them they are less confusing, and avoid more confusion then they cause.
